HARDENING
hardening for you
Hardening is a type of heat treatment that involves heating the material to the quenching temperature, followed by tempering, and finally cooling at a supercritical rate. It is used to enhance the mechanical and physical properties of the material, particularly its hardness and wear resistance. In PRIKNER heat treatment shop, we perform several types of hardening.
In addition to precise conventional steel hardening, we provide a range of specialized variants of this process, including hardening in a protective atmosphere and vacuum quenching, which allow specific material properties to be achieved according to specific customer requirements. We are one of the few in the Czech Republic to carry out bainitic quenching, and our strengths also include cryogenic metal processing and knife blade hardening.
We are capable of hardening heat treatable steels, tool steels, stainless steels, high-speed steels and steels for special applications.
Our extensive experience, expertise and state-of-the-art technology go into every metal heat treatment process, enabling us to offer a wide range of hardening options to meet the requirements of even the most demanding clients.
