CHEMICAL HEAT TREATMENT OF METALS
overcoming the structure of every metal
Chemical heat treatment of metals involves processes that combine chemical reactions with thermal operations. Their aim is to modify the structure and achieve the desired properties of the material, primarily increasing hardness, toughness, and wear resistance. PRIKNER heat treatment shop offers various types of chemical heat treatment of metals.
Apart from carburizing, gas nitrocarburizing with salt bath quenching, and vacuum nitrocarburizing with oil quenching, we also perform low pressure carburizing in vacuum furnaces with oil quenching or high pressure gas quenching, which we introduced as one of the first in the Czech Republic. We also have extensive experience with gas nitriding and gas nitrocarburizing. Additionally, we provide post-treatment of metals after these processes, such as freezing after carburizing and oxidation after nitriding or nitrocarburizing.
We are capable of processing alloyed (chromium, aluminium, vanadium, manganese, molybdenum), non-alloyed, and carbon steels, as well as automatic, manganese-chromium, and nickel-chromium steels.
Each chemical heat treatment process in our heat treatment shop is characterized by precision honed over years of experience, an innovative approach, and modern technologies which enable us to meet even the most specific requirements of customers across industries.
