IN THE NAME OF PRIKNER
The story of our heat treatment shop began in 1990. Back then, Otakar Prikner founded a company with a name he certainly did not beat around the bush. He simply named it after himself and the business it was supposed to engage in: Otakar PRIKNER – Heat Treatment of Metals.
Just as straightforward as the name was Prikner's intention - to establish a small custom heat treatment shop that would heat treat steel and other metals to the highest possible quality, introduce special processes, and develop and improve technologies for the benefit of its customers and the environment. Even after years, our heat treatment shop, known today as PRIKNER – Heat Treatment of Metals s. r. o., remains faithful to this vision.

We don't wait for innovations, we create them. In collaboration with leading Czech and Slovak universities, we develop new metal heat treatment processes, and we are the only heat treatment shop in the Czech Republic that has mastered the technology of vacuum carburizing to great depths.

Since our company was founded, we have provided metal heat treatment services for over 1,500 customers. For some, we processed "just" a single order, while for others, we have been firing furnaces repeatedly for years.

Our heat treatment shop is growing and so is its capacity, enabling us to accept an increasing number of orders every year. Over the past 30 years, more than 240 projects have passed through our furnaces.
2 UNIVERSITIES
We participate in technological development in the field of material heat treatment. We are partners with the Czech Technical University in Prague and the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.
