Annealing involves controlled heating of the metal to the annealing temperature, followed by holding and slow cooling to room temperature. It allows for the reduction of internal stresses in the material, improves its ductility, reduces hardness, and thus facilitates machining. The aim of annealing, which can occur with or without grain recrystallization, is to achieve equilibrium in the material's structure.
In PRIKNER heat treatment shop, we offer soft annealing, normalizing, stress relieving annealing, spheroidizing annealing, isothermal annealing, solution annealing, homogenization annealing, recrystallization annealing, and annealing for magnetic properties.
With these methods, we can process steels of almost any grade for use across industries.

World-unique furnace
In the PRIKNER heat treatment shop, we have one of the few furnaces in the world equipped for hardening with a nitrogen overpressure of 25 bars. Thanks to it, we are able to treat a much wider range of materials than other companies in the Czech Republic and beyond.
